Injury Signal ("we," "us," or "our") aggregates public-record filings (including, but not limited to, medical liens, mechanic's liens, tax liens, and judgment liens) from county recorder and clerk offices across the United States. We extract structured lead data from those filings and make it available to licensed professionals, primarily personal-injury attorneys and their agents.
This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), and comparable laws in other jurisdictions.
Our source data is public record. We do not collect information directly from consumers. The personal information we process is obtained from filings made publicly available by government agencies, including:
We also collect limited operational data (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) when you visit this site or submit a request form.
We sell and share personal information. Specifically, we license lead data derived from public-record filings to licensed attorneys, law firms, and their authorized service providers, for the purpose of contacting consumers regarding potential legal representation, settlement services, and lien resolution. This constitutes a "sale" and/or "sharing" of personal information under the CCPA.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within forty-five (45) days of receipt, as required by Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.130. We may extend this period by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary and will notify you in writing if we do.
We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control signal (Sec-GPC: 1). When your browser transmits this header, we treat it as a valid opt-out of the sale and sharing of your personal information for the duration of that browsing session.
To exercise any of the rights above, submit a request via our consumer request form or email privacy@ablien.org. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with written authorization.
We retain public-record data for as long as the underlying filing remains of commercial interest to our licensed customers, subject to deletion requests under Section 4.
Questions about this policy or our data practices should be directed to privacy@ablien.org.
